Communicating art

Use art to create an atmosphere in your company’s reception area, corridors, meeting or conference rooms. I will be happy to make works specially designed for your offices – so that they match exactly what you want your company to communicate.

I have many corporate customers and I know what special needs that may be involved when decorating reception areas, corridors, meeting rooms, etc. I can also help you communicate your values through art.

painting Darling
“In stead of having a fancy TDC logo on the cover of our new communication strategy (the conventional solution), we chose Rikke Darling’s painting ”StyleGirl falder i dybere bevidsthed” (StyleGirl falls into deeper consciousness) as the cover illustration. To me, the painting expresses passion, power, life blood, creativity and commitment – values that we want to promote at TDC. At the same time it is simply beautiful and spectacular. All in all an inspiring logo for the strategy,” says Ulf Lund, former communication manager at TDC, now COO of the cable television company YouSee.

In many offices the walls are white, and the decor creates the atmosphere and environment. Well-chosen paintings in the office communicate energy and awareness – and paintings giving food for thought boost employees’ creativity while at the same time having great communication value towards customers and business partners.

Many companies use colours consciously to communicate a message and let the decor underline their corporate values.

Corporate greetings and Christmas cards
Use art to express your company’s identity by letting art decorate your corporate greetings and Christmas cards. With art cards your company can express itself in a unique manner. By expressing your identity through art your company will send a message of quality and show unique values through your choice of expression. Read more here.

I will create a unique motif for your company. The card can express the company’s values and will be created in a way that fits your overall communication and supports your corporate brand.

Charlottehaven – hotel, health club, café and conference venue

The Christmas card was to contain Charlottehaven’s logo and express the traditional Danish Christmas that many of the hotel’s guests come to Denmark to celebrate with their families. I therefore chose to paint the traditional weaved Christmas heart and used loads of warm red and, of course, gold. It has thick structures and you get the sense of a thick Christmas table cloth, somewhat wrinkled and with random creases.

PrimeTime Kommunikation

This Christmas card was to communicate tradition and create a winter atmosphere. It includes a verse from an old Christmas carol, the traditional red Christmas heart is in front, while the background makes you think of a snow landscape with glittering gold.

Logo design
My logos differ from other logos because they are not computer made. They have no industrialised graphic lines, but are, as a rule, hand drawn which gives them very light and vivid lines. Are you dreaming about a more arty logo?

Moenten

Moenten hotelappartments is a new hoel who needed a new logo. The desired look was to be vivid and modern.

Unicykel

Unicykel is an online shop selling one-wheeled bikes and accessories. I made the logo printed on this t-shirt. The t-shirt can be bought from shops in Denmark and Germany.

Illustrations

Illustrations for articles about fashion and design, adverts, etc. Due to my background in fashion design and illustration I specialise in fashion sketches, but I also do other illustrations. My illustrations have a modern expression with light and arty lines. Read more here

My illustrations can be used for articles about fashion and design, adverts, etc. Due to my background in fashion design and illustration I specialise in fashion sketches, but I also do other illustrations. Some of my paintings have the same female figure – in the paintings she is called StyleGirl.

My sketches therefore go well together with my paintings, which lend the sketches an exclusive and arty expression. I like to think in large concepts and love challenges.

See two of the projects I have worked on below.

Campaign for the shopping centre “Gallerierne” in Hillerød

The “Days of style and fashion” campaign in Hillerød, March 2008. The fashion sketches were to create the right mood and put focus on spring fashion. I was contacted by the advertising agency Full Circle which used my sketches in a photo of the centre.

My sketches were used inside the centre on large banners suspended from the ceiling. The sketches also covered the front of the centre, and all bus stops, the local newspapers and the website of the centre featured adverts. See the adverts here (in Danish)

Illustrations for “Provenue”, the customer magazine of Danske Bank
I have illustrated an article in the Danske Bank customer magazine “Provenue” about spring fashion as seen by a number of famous Danish designers. The illustrations were to be general and show four fashion trends.

Art and enterprises go well together – in my world
Through my educational background as an MSc I understand the role of art in the interplay with a company’s messages. I have an MSc degree in Design & Communication Management from Copenhagen Business School.

Through my studies I have specialised in corporate brands, values and communication – visual as well as written. Moreover, I have worked as a consultant in branding and corporate communication for several years. I can draw on this experience and knowledge when I make paintings for companies.

This makes me a qualified partner in relation to determining what message you want your company to communicate to its clients and business partners.
